Chipstead Place Lawn Tennis Club
4.1.1 - Volunteer policy
Recruitment
Chipstead Place Lawn Tennis Club relies upon the goodwill and voluntary efforts of its members in helping the club to operate for the enjoyment and reasonable safety of all members and visitors to the club. We are grateful for any volunteers who are keen to assist.
Any voluntary positions that need to be filled will be advertised on the club website and/or on the noticeboard(s) in the clubhouse, complete with a short description of the role. A list of the voluntary positions held will also be kept on the website and in the clubhouse, complete with the names of the volunteers who hold those positions.
There are various forms of voluntary work performed within the club. Where a voluntary role includes work with, or supervision of, children the volunteer will be required to complete a Self Declaration Form and to undergo a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
All volunteers are required to read the Club’s Policies, Codes of Conduct and Guidelines before commencing the role and should adopt those that are directly applicable to the role in question. You will be asked to sign an acceptance form to demonstrate that you have read and understood these policies, codes and guidelines.
Insurance
The club has a valid insurance policy which you are advised to read.
Resolving problems
The relationship between Chipstead Place Lawn Tennis Club and its volunteers is entirely voluntary and does not imply any contract. However, it is important that the club is able to maintain its agreed standards of service to members, and it is equally important that volunteers should enjoy making their contribution to the club.
We will review this policy annually.
